Windows 7 64 / Windows 8 64

This is related to BetterSoft adwares, that are installed together with shareware/freeware programs (like converters, downloaders, etc). The installer is trying to update or install the adware and is blocked by Avast. An example of their adware is Save By Click -
As the installer is not a trojan, it is not properly detected by mbam and Avast.
It might be handled by Adwcleaner, Spybot S&D or Spyhunter.

If that URL is causing even an adware problem, might I suggest you stop it from being a clickable link ?

Download and run malwarebytes look down the bottom left of the page for the Free download link.

Win 7 32 Home Premium, Win 7 64 Pro, Win 8.1, Win 10

Here is the link to d/l AdwCleaner

AdwCleaner Download

Other suggested software to clean your system:

Norton Power Eraser

If these along with the above suggested tools fail to clean your system, make a copy of Windows Defender Offline on a clean PC (Not on the infected one) and run it.

Windows Defender Offline

I reinstalled GIMP recently for something, although I now prefer to use photoshop. Anyway, I thought the source I was getting it from was legit and I thought I had ticked/unticked all the right boxes when I installed it, only it ended up giving me a load of crapware along with it. Redesigned my...
