Question about Windows 7 x64 and Rootkits

Hi everyone. Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, but I've been curious about this for a while now, and I thought I'd ask the Windows 7 experts.

Back when I was running an x86 XP SP3 system, there were a variety of readily accessible and easy to run rootkit scanners (Rootkit revealer, GMER, Rootalyzer, Root Repealer). After making the move to Windows 7 RTM x64, I'm surprised to find that most, if not all, are incompatible with x64 systems, or else Windows 7. Does anyone have any suggestions about the best program to use to scrutinize rootkits? I'm currently running ESET's NOD32 v4 for AV, but on-demand scanning for rootkits would be nice for some peace of mind after some issues I've been seeing. Thanks!

Sophos Anti-Rootkit detection and removal tool has native support for Windows 7 64-bit. Actually it runs on all 64-bit platforms.
Good luck to you and hope that you enjoy your time at SF
