Removing a "Trusted Publisher" from Internet Explorer and Office 2007

Comodo Security Solutions is listed as a "Trusted Publisher" in both Word 2007 as well as IE 10 Preview. I was unable to remove it even after reverting to IE8. Running WIN 7_64 and IE10 currently with Kaspersky Internet Security 2013. I was able to remove Comodo Security Solutions from "trusted publishers' in Word 2007.

    But the entries returned.

I had installed/uninstalled Comodo Firewall long ago. Did a search for "comodo" in registry. Could not find it. But there is an entry for cmdide.sys under C:/Windows/System 32/Drivers which is supposed to belong to the OS.

How do I get rid of Comodo from "Trusted Publishers" in Internet Explorer and Office 2007?

(Kaspersky moderators say it has nothing to do with KIS 2013)

    harin35,

    Let's check the Registry...

    Please download SystemLook:
    http://jpshortstuff.247fixes.com/SystemLook.exe
    Save to your Desktop.

Right-click SystemLook.exe, and select: Run as Administrator

Copy all the content inside the following quote box into the main textfield of the program:
    :reg
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap\Domains
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap\Domain
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap\Ranges
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap\Ranges
Click the Look button to start the scan.

When finished, a notepad window opens with the results of the scan: SystemLook.txt

Please post SystemLook.txt in your next reply

    Also try the following:

Press the Windows key and the R key at the same time
In the Run prompt, Copy/Paste: certmgr.msc

    Is Comodo Security Solutions there?

You can find the serial number of the certificate by right-clicking the certificate, and selecting:
All Tasks > Open > Details > Serial number

Next, open a Command Prompt, and copy/paste the following at the blinking cursor:

    certutil -delstore trustedpublisher serial number

(You will need to provide then serial number at the end!)

    Press: Enter

Many thanks. I deleted Comodo Security Solutions starting from certmgr.msc. Comodo is gone from Office and Internet Explorer as a 'trusted publisher'.
