    Lifetime Antivirus Subscription??

    Bitdefender is offering a lifetime 2013 Internet Security Software program for $75.00. Lifetime updates and upgrades!!

    My first question is, is BD the ONLY one that offers lifetime subscriptions?

    My second question would be, when they say lifetime, do they mean the lifetime of the PC, or when your PC finally needs to go and it's time to buy another one, will they let you put the lifetime subscription on the new PC as long as you are only maintaining one license?

    If the latter is true, then this would be a no brainer for someone to download and install this AV program for $75.00, just like myself and many have done with the lifetime offers of Malwarebytes and Superantispyware!!!! We will pay more than that over a lifetime buying new upgrades and softwares at $20-$40 a pop.

    However, I have a feeling that it will probably only work for the lifetime of the PC you put it on, in that case, for $75.00, I guess it depends on how long you use your PC.

    I do know that the lifetime license for Malware Bytes and Superantispyware, are truly lifetime, and when you buy a new PC, you can put the subscription on the new one, as long as you don't go over the number of authorized licenses.

    What say you???

    * Lifetime protection key is valid for the computer you first install it on, for the lifetime of the machine, not exceeding 5 years;
    ** Average market value, calculated for 5 years of an average Internet Security license;
    *** Save up to 75% per year. Calculation for 5 years of PC Lifetime.

    The old 'bait and switch' tactic! They should NOT call this lifetime!!! They should simply say a 5 year license for one PC!!

    Typical advertising gimmick. LIFETIME in big bold letters and then the tiny footnote at the bottom of the page. Anti-Virus software are always going on sale or have rebates. I use Norton IS and got it free the last 3 years through rebates and that is the 3pc version.

    That's true Jim. I got Avast Internet Security in early 2012. A 2 year license for 2 PCs for the price of a 1 year license and 1 PC.

    Here's a thought. I wonder if someone who has a license, like myself, that lasts until 2014, could download a promotion like BitDefender is running, and just keep the download in the download folder until the current license runs out in 2014 and still be able to open the BD download and use it for 5 years???

    Hey! We gotta do something to counter act the 'bait and switch' advertising!! :)

    Too much trouble and they still get your money. Just don't buy their product or wait for a super rebate like I did 3 times with Norton.(all free after rebates)
