Backup MSE settings which include scheduled scans & exceptions list?

    Hi there.
Is there a way to backup MSE settings which include scheduled scans & exceptions list? And if possible, the updated database too?
I just went through a tedious task of a clean install and while MSE is not intimidating, configuring it from the ground up takes days in my case so I could better monitor its behavior to take necessary adjustments.
    Thanks.

The settings are in the Windows registry. Just search for one of the folders or files in your exceptions list. However, the info in the registry only applies to the version of MSE that you have installed at the time that you backed it up. For that registry info to be of value, you would need to save the MSE installation file.

Saving the updated database would not be a good idea since it would be out of date by the time that you needed to use it on another clean install.

If you did this type of clean install, then you should consider making an image of that install. Then install all of your stuff (including MSE) & make another image. That is far better than just saving the MSE settings.
