I have no idea why the MS forum is so against running MBAM with MSE together. I never could find any concrete evidence or posts about any particular problem that could be the result of MBAM and MSE on the same computer. They both work fine for me though.

I can only conclude that those views are not based on any real usage experience at all. I think those views are quite inaccurate. I think on an MS-hosted forum, they would not bother advocating other products.

Microsoft likes Microsoft. If Microsoft pointed people to a particular non Microsoft product they would spend years in court defending that decision. All the other companies that made a similar product would make sure of that.
