Windows 7: cannot unlock taskbar or make changes in Start menu properties

OK, ran Malwarebytes. I had run this one before. Today did quick scan. Results are below. It never prompted for drives and only did the C drive, no external or SSD USB jump drives.

As far as purchasing any program, must tell you that I have not bought an AntiVirus or AntiMalware proggie since the year 2000 when the malwarte slappin' bug caught me.

There are plenty of very good programs available that do the job for free, and have no bells and whistles to bog down the system.

Selecting either the free version of Emsisoft or Malwarebytes (both AntiMalware apps) is a hard call.
Maybe you could try one for a while, and then try the other, to see which one works best with your system.

On MCShield, it runs in the background, and is meant to be a real quick action tool to identify malicious files located in USB drives, memory cards, and external hard drives. You can Google for more info about it using the following search criteria: MCShield MyCity (Otherwise, the search brings in McAfee.)

As far as more ideas and thoughts, that would depend on the problems you are having, but, it looks as if right now you are doing good.
