    Plusnet McAfee Install


    Hi I have installed PlusNet McAfee on an admin account which works fine ,when I switch to a standard user account McAfee appears in the start menu and a short cut on the desktop but neither work,I have tried a reinstall with the same results. Anyone had the same problem? windows7 64bit system.

    You might not want to hear this, but just avoid using McAfee on Windows 7.

    MSE is stable and free or Avast if you can stand the interface.

    Ditto I don't think you will find to many users of McAfee on this Forum

    Ok thanks for your advice, this is a first for me I have always used Avast but since Plusnet includes it for free I thought I would give it a go. I'm going to give MSE try.

    i used Mcafee had the same problem and ended up with uninstalling it completely yeah i reliazed mcafee is a trouble antivirus it causes small annoying issues with no obvious reason behind and mcafee support team is horribly screwed up i also recommend you to use something else

    Ok sorted if this is some help to others when you switch users log off first Mcafee then works on the other account. if you just switch users you are still protected but non of the shortcuts work. I,m going to give it another try for a week or two.
