Wireless use with no routers question

    Thank you, i don't recall ever seeing a message from the Windows firewall asking for permission to do anything. I guess my best bet is to run a scan with some sort of port scanner but the last time i did a vulnerability check i was floored by the seemingly endless amount of data claiming i had poor security. I must of had a business edition scanner or something.

    I was on the Gizmos best free security list page and clicked on vulnerability scanners and ran a few and it made my computer seem like the least secure computer in the history of mankind. Just my luck

    You can try the online scanner (named Sheilds UP) from grc.com but it would take you a while to work thru every port.

    Don't go searching for other online scanner websites. You could end up on some not so safe websites.
