    EMET-is it worth installing?

    Hi all,

I have had a read up about EMET, having never heard of it before!

I'm still not sure if I should install it or not so can I ask, is it worth it?

    Hello,

    Yes, it is worth installing.
    Enhanced Mitigation Experience Toolkit (EMET)

Yesterday I had my first EMET notification: I had opened Internet Explorer and browsed to a page and EMET alerted me that the page was trying to insert code in DEP into IE. EMET closed the page and I restarted IE (I didn't go back to that page) but no other Security software alerted to this attack.

    Your Welcome Andy.

Brink just updated the Tutorial with 2 links with good information on EMET. 1 is on detailed setup and the other is showing how EMET protects.

    Have a good day

Thanks mate, I had a read of the links and there is some really good info to be had.

Have you experienced any problems since installing EMET?

    None whatsoever :)

I imported the all.xml and have had no issues. EMET has a forum: https://social.technet.microsoft.com...S/emet/threads

EMET justs does its thing, no drag on the system no popups unless it stops something.

If you have a program that misbehaves you can easily uncheck the protection in EMET.
I run MS Security Essentials, SuperAntiSpyware, MalwareBytes, WinPatrol with EMET and no issues.
