Windows 7: Old version of command prompt and cannot run scannow

OK I still have the random crash from athr.sys

redirect back to this thread: BSOD at random intervals arthr.sys?

Please upload following file to: http://www.virustotal.com/
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\athr.sys

If the file is listed as already analyzed, click on: Reanalyse file

When the results page appears, click the down arrow with More details located below the Analysis date.

Please post the file information.

Also, once the file is scanned, and you see the full results page on your screen, go up to the address bar at the top of the browser, and copy the http:\\etc. address there.

Your trying to determine if the athr.sys file has been corrupted or not.

Just updating you on the BSOD, directly blames the athur.sys driver, and there also seems to be some issues with the onboard graphics too.

Just wanted to make sure athr.sys was not infected. It checks out as a driver for the Atheros CB42/CB43/MB42/MB43 Network Adapters.

You are in good hands with the BSOD folks.
