    Can't Remove 1clickdownloader or Sweetpacks ?

    Hey guys,

I have unfortunately clicked the wrong download link on a website (some reason the links swapped round so i was fooled) and i have been presented with a set of new programs on my laptop that I somehow can't remove.

The following are present in my Uninstall programs list.

    1clickdownloader
    SweetIm For Messenger
    Sweet for Internet Explorer
    SweetPacks

All 4 of these seem to be impossible to remove and so i am asking for any help with this.

I have looked around the internet but nothing seems to be linked to it (Nothing that i can really trust anyways, the majority want to download extra programs and im not up for that).

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

to remove this will require using removal tools that MUST be downloaded.

    see this video:

    also see:

or you could try doing a 'system restore' to a time before the infection

hello. I have just this morning remove sweetpack in an easy. I juts had to know how to do it.
I found 1-click downloader and sweetpack in the adds on of Mozilla fox. when I saw it I remove them both, eliminated all the cookies also and that's it. no more and I could recover my starting page that had been squatted by sweetpack previously
in fox go to tool...adds on...open and remove the culprit
best to delete their cookies I think
    Good luck

I hope the issue has been resolved. In case someone is still struggling with Sweetpacks, I would suggest them to reset their Mozilla Firefox, or to remove Sweetpacks from Extensions and Search Engines as well in Chrome. Who needs to remove it from IE anyways? :P
I read it is just a search engine, but most probably, it could be malware too.
And yes, make a scan using Spybot Search & Destroy, that's gonna bring the hell out of Sweetpacks!! :)

    Thanks for your reply.
People need to know that all claims of spyware and virus removal, and people saying "hey, it worked" are as much of a scam as the malware itself, possibly from the same source.
