Help? virus downloaded due to pc inteference?

i've had my pc for a while now and it has been fine but for some
reason, from time to time, a window pops up saying:
WARNING!
VIRUS DOWNLOADED DUE TO PC INTEFERENCE
and I'm not sure what it means?
i haven't installed any dodgey software and my
norton 360 doesn't detect it?
I've googled it but it hasn't returned the slightest of help
so i decided to ask you guys!
please help I'm so confused!
thanks!
