    Lets see if Cottonball has a fix using FRST tool to remove the mcafee personal firewall if not we could remove this manually using the registry .

    Download "Unlock tool" to clean up the remains of McAfee: here
    Save it to your desktop, then right click to run as Administrator.

    I just ran the tool as admin - restarted - the MPF is still in services.msc . The MPF cleanup tool we ran last night did remove it from the add-on list in IE tools. -:)

    Lets see something in the registry .

    Click on type REGEDIT inside the Search programs and files box inside the Start Menu . When REGEDIT comes up under Programs (1) right click and choose Run as administrator . On the User Access Control window click on Yes . Inside registry click on Computer then click on Edit then click on Find in the Find window type in McAfee and click on Find Next button .

    Do you have RevoUninstaller installed ? If you do use Hunter Mode

    Go to C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\McAfee right click on McAfee folder and choose uninstall .

    Guide me. I've got a bulls eye on the upper right of the screen-I click on it and it gives me options.

    Drag the bullseye to the McAfee folder inside C:\Programs (x86) then choose Uninstall when you right-click .
