Let's see what failing ... Please download VEW by Vino Rosso http://images.malwareremoval.com/vino/VEW.exe
and save it to your desktop
Right click the file and select Run as administrator and click Continue or Allow at the User Account Control Prompt.

Click the check boxes next to Application and System located under Select log to query on the upper left

Under Select type to list on the right click the boxes next to Error and Warning Note: If running Windows Vista or Windows 7 also click the box next to Critical (not XP).

Under Number or date of events select Number of events and type 20 in the box next to 1 to 20 and click Run

Once it finishes it will display a log file in notepad <--- it may take a while and look like it's doing nothing, but just let it be!!

Please copy and paste its entire contents into your next reply

GilV37 ,

I noticed you have another user account . Can that account download from browsers ? Just trying to eliminate the issue of your profile being corrupted .

Question ... is this an upgrade from Vista? See --->
Type: Error Category: 0
Event: 4 Source: Microsoft-Windows-WMI
Error 0x8004100a encountered when trying to load MOF C:\PROGRAM FILES (X86)\MICROSOFT SQL SERVER\90\SHARED\SQLMGMPROVIDERXPSP2UP.MOF while recovering .MOF file marked with autorecover.

This should be C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Shared\sqlmgmproviderxpsp2up.mof
Follow these steps to display hidden files and folders.
  1. Open Folder Options by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Folder Options.
  2. Click the View tab.
  3. Under Advanced settings, click Show hidden files and folders, and then click OK.
You need to find sqlmgmproviderxpsp2up.mof in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Shared\ or C:\Program Files(X86)\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Shared\. Have you found it?

The configuration of the AdminConnection\TCP protocol in the SQL instance MSSMLBIZ is not configured correctly.
This could possibly a big part of the problem for not being able to download.

Go into services.msc and disable Bonjour, then stop it. Click apply and OK.

See what windows does at startup and while logging off
to see what windows is doing before logging off navigate to 'HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System', in the registry, create a DWORD value called 'verbosestatus' and set it to 1 (u might want to try this if ur comp is taking too long to shutdown or start)
