this is happening with Internet Explorer 9. I downloaded Firefox after I noticed this problem and no issues with that web browser.

So which is set as your 'default' browser? IE or FF?

If I am not mistaken the IE icon on the Taskbar is 32-bit . If right click on the IE icon on the taskbar then right click on Internet Explorer choose Properties the location points to C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer

If click on the then click on All Programs and locate Internet Explorer right click on then choose Properties the location is C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer <---- That's 64-bit .

That's how it is on my Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

Can you try using the Junkware Removal Tool Download once again?
    Save to the Desktop.

Make sure you temporarily disable your AntiVirus, Firewall, and any other AntiSpyware applications.
These programs may interfere with the running of JRT.

Right-click JRT.exe and select: Run as Administrator

The tool opens and starts scanning the system. Please be patient as this can take a while...

When done, a report, JRT.txt is saved on the Desktop.

Please post the contents of JRT.txt in your reply.

I see your default Gateway is 10.0.0.1 . Did you change that yourself ?

Usually that default gateway IP address is used in business network on Cisco routers .

Home routers usually have 192.168.x.x IP addresses for their Default Gateway
