    PCuser809,

    Please download SystemLook from one of the links below:
    64-bit system:
    http://jpshortstuff.247Fixes.com/SystemLook_x64.exe
    http://images.malwareremoval.com/jps...emLook_x64.exe
    Save the file to the Desktop

    • Double-click SystemLook.exe to run it.
    • Copy the content of the following code box into the open textfield:

    Code:
    :filefind
    autochk.exe
    • Click the Look button to start the scan.
    • When finished, a Notepad window opens with the results of the scan.

      Please post the SystemLook.txt in your reply.

    Thanks!

    It won't help, I'm afraid :) If we look at the SFC log, you'll see this line in the summary at the bottom:

    Code:
    2013-06-19 13:44:13, Info CSI 000002de [SR] Could not reproject corrupted file [ml:520{260},l:46{23}]"\??\C:\Windows\System32"\[l:22{11}]"autochk.exe"; source file in store is also corrupted
    Note the source file in store is also corrupt. So there isn't a copy to replace the corrupt one with on the system, we'll have to get one from elsewhere :)

    @PCuser809,

    How is it going?

    The issue reported by the System File Checker (SFC) program can be resolved if you follow the instructions provided by Tom982.

    @Tom982,

    Regarding the comment on SystemLook:
    It won't help, I'm afraid.
    Shouldn't the following in SystemLook...
    :filefind
    autochk.exe

    ...produce the same results as the following in SFCFixScript.txt:
    FileScan::
    autochk.exe

    In either case, we would need to arrive at a location where the file autochk.exe needs to be replaced, since the System32 copy of the file is corrupt, and so is the winsxs copy. The winsxs is the tricky one.

    See option #3 in the tutorial, to manually replace the corrupted files
    SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
    As it was pointed out later on, the source file is also corrupt

    5. Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
    6. SFCFix will now process the script.
    Unfortunately, my PC won't let me run .exe files, so this didn't work

    If I were to re-install Windows 7, do you guys think this issue would be solved? I heard re-installing Windows always works, but I'm not sure... :/
