Thanks, I have ran " / r " before.. i'll try that. If no good, I'll just move over what I can from the old partition and use the fresh install.. . Definitely appreciate all the help.

No recovery Discs other than whats included with the partition and included DVDs.

I ran chkdsk on all valid drives to be sure not to miss anything. Still no boot.

I'm deciding to scrap it and work with the fresh install. Any way to move over program files/Start Menu...?

Programs aren't transferable . They would need to be reinstalled . What you mean by start menu

If it is not too late, do you have an image to recover from in the Recovery Partition?

Yeah, I've gone ahead and moved over what I could - it shouldn't take too long to reinstall the apps now. Thanks!

My PC became stuck in a startup repair loop 2 days ago and I have tried several things to fix it without a fresh install as I need the data on my SSD. The main thing I have noticed is that my startup repair does not say it is unsuccessful it just restarts and loops over again. I have tried this...

I'm on Windows 7 x64. As far as I can tell, according to startup repair, the error seems to be a missing os loader. I cannot seem to boot into safe mode/last known good config (pressing F8) I've tried using the installation disk to do a chkdsk /f and a bootrec /fixmbr /fixboot /repairbcd I've...

No BSOD. Endless startup repair loop. "ntoskrnl.exe corrupted"
I can't get Windows to load properly. Can't get into any safe modes. Just the startup repair screen, over and over. It tells me that there are no system restore points. I have tried copying the ntoskrnl.exe from another Win 7 computer. I have tried the "How to get out of the endless system repair...
