One thing you can try right off would be canceling the present schedule and then resetting the time and frequency of the scheduled scans in order to see if the program is having a problem of some type where a full uninstall and fresh install might be needed. Often this is the result of a program glitch where that would be the solution.
Other settings to consider would be the one for selecting manual or automatic update and how often the program checks for them. Sometimes a scheduled scan may be interrupted by a new update being prompted or automatically downloading along with the install getting in the way. Also takes notes on any other programs being run or set to start up at the same time as the scans are scheduled to run in the event of any software clash.
