    Kaspersky 2014

Finally out here have got the 2014 version downloaded, installed and well kind of configured the GUI is quite a bit different and in my mind not as user friendly as the 2013 config.

But to be fair it seems to be a lot faster installing, updating, and scanning.

Well sumande we shall have to agree to disagree as I have used it for four years now on seven machines and some of it is dependent on the configuration you have set up. I like the safe money feature as I know I am totally safe with it and I don't find it hogs any more than other securities some of which I wouldn't give you the time of day for quite frankly.

As I have always said and maintain that there is so much new stuff each day that NO security is totally safe because it has to be there for it to be recognised as malware, and why I use on call scanners too. Plus and probably most important is how one uses the net and how careful or reckless one is inclined to be.

It is a bit like a new car being produced and until it is seen on the street how the heck do you know it even exists?

As for your set up mate if you are running two AV at once then I think that is a bad idea and what the others will tell you too because you run the risk of them conflicting. My one thoughts on torrents well if you are into that then good luck to you as I have never done it but know people who do and they have said to me that one has to be extremely careful on what one is downloading that way. I always associate it with obtaining stuff that perhaps maybe a little shady in it's origin although I suppose t is not all that way.

I use Norton and it has worked well, Kaspersky is also very good and guards financial transactions. I have used Webroot too and I found it to be total crap and slowed and froze my system with w7. IT was OK with XP and they haven't got it together for the modern era.

Typing in bold red is considered rude unless used to emphasize a specific word or phrase.

Thanks Gary I thought the same but put it down to being maybe a bit impetuous on his part which has rebounded on him by the looks of things
