Cannot Re-Install MSE keep getting error code 0x8004ff06 any help?

    I will get back to this issue probably on Tuesday. One interesting note. I downloaded and installed the Anti Virus Spyware program from my ISP Rogers. It installed with no problem. Prior to installing it does a check for other Anti Virus software on the computer. It found none.
    Maybe the MSE install wizard is seeing a ghost:)

    I have decided to install Windows 7 Ultimate (sent to me by MS).
    I appreciate greatly all of the help and input of all those on this forum and elsewhere who provided help and suggestions.

I just got Win 7 Pro Upgrade. My current OS is XP Home SP3. During my install I get either of these error codes: 0xC0000005 and 0x80070570. I have retired 4 times and got either code each time. Upgrade Advisor said I would be fine. Any Idea?
