    Win 7 Security Warning?

    Hi,

I was browsing a webpage and got a security warning pop-up box. A screen shot of the pop-up is attached. Is this a Win 7 security warning? I don't think it's an ESET Smart Security 7 security warning. I suspect it's a malware trick.

    Thank you for your assistance.

    Regards

Well, every warning about unsigned drivers I ever remember seeing went more along the lines of "Windows can't verify the publisher ......." etc. So offhand I'd agree with you about it being a malware trick. Have you ran your malware and A/V scans yet?

It turns out to be a Java security warning. See the link below. I think Java should indicate that it's a Java security warning on the pop-up box. Otherwise, you don't know if it's a malware trick that will load something no matter what button you click.

What should I do when I see a security prompt from Java?
