Software installed on my computer won't automatically update anymore

Hello everybody,
I'll get straight to the point. All the software installed on my computer won't automatically update anymore unless it's manually run as administrator. Weird thing is that this didn't happen before and I can't recall doing anything that would be of particular relevance.

Details: Avast triggers UACs permission to run at startup and some programs (like Razer Synapse or Skype) will let me know theres an update available but when I click the update button nothing will happen, unless I close and re-run that program "as administrator". Some other software (like utorrent) will let me know they weren't able to update. Also I have checked the "run this program as administrator" box with no change.

I know that this might not be a virus, more likely some configuration issue, but I don't know where to look anymore and I believe this could be considered System Security related.

Any ideas? Thank you very much in advance.
