When I click the link, it opens what looks like a normal yahoo email page, but the address bar has this in it...
tterrwttt.altervista.org/yahoo.html/ (i left off the www on the front end so noone would click on it. But I did click on it and like I said a normal looking yahoo email page came up...but I never entered my name and password. I read where yahoo! INC is legit....uh but I'm leary about the address issue.....no idea what altervista.org is. Anyone?

You can summit suspicious URLs to virustotal.com

In your post, you copied/pasted the full link (with the http part). If this is the original link, then you should notice that the link does not use https.

I visited the website using a virtual machine and the source code for the website is definitely not from Yahoo.

You should not have clicked on the link, the websites like this could have infected you. This one probably di not infect you, but others might.

I reported the OP earlier as containing a possible phishing/malicious link.

= "Crea gratis il tuo sito web, il tuo blog, una galleria di immagini o un forum di discussione"

Legit free website provider, hosting all kinds of stuff incl. the mentioned phishing site (no control, as usual with many\most hosting companies). The socalled 'Yahoo' page will go away when\if someone reports it to the host.
