"You don't have permission to open this file."

Hey,

So while trying to send my final essay to my prof for school, I go to load the file my email and then I receive this message:

"You don't have permission to open this file. Contact the file owner or an administrator to obtain permission".

I looked at other forums, and tried the whole properties>security>advanced>owner thing, and it will not work!

I really need to send this paper!

Can someone please help me get permission, or whatever!

Please and thank you

is the computer part of a workgroup or domain? If it is; your user id may not have the proper security access to be able to open the file. If its on a standalone system; make sure you have administrator rights to the file.
