Sorry if you didn't get it before. Here it is once again.
Hello again, Kaktus...
I ran the batch file for a second time, but I am unable to capture the results as a text file.
Ergo, I am attaching the bcd.txt report that it generated as well as a jpg screen shot.
pfffff.... Where can I see where the wim files and sdi files are located? I don't see any listing or screenshot at all that gives me the requested info.
Do you have a win7 repair disc? Do you have a win7 install disc? Maybe (most likely) we need one of them to correct the "repair my computer" issue.
I did a search, via Agent Ransack, through the entire c:\ drive for:
win*.winand the result was: "no files/folders that match search criteria."
win*.sdi
I have a Win7-64 Home "Bootable Repair Disk" that I have never had to use.
I also have a Win 7-64 Professional Upgrade Disk that I used once on an XP machine that subsequently died. Same 4 questions as above.
- Does using it force me to reinstall my software?
- Will you be able to instruct me to instruct the disk to only change selected windows processing?
- How important is the "Repair Your Computer" addition to the F8 menu? For instance, would it have make all the steps in this thread easier?
- What problems does a repair disk create?
I do not have the original Win7-64 Home disk as it was preloaded by HP and no disk came in the box.
Kaktus...
I did two more searches, and got these reports:
