    Microsoft Security Essentials install error 0x80070648


    Hello! This error appears everytime i try to install MSE.I've tried everything i read in some other sites but nothing fixed it.Anyone had the same problem?

    Hello and welcome Zincix mate if that isn't installing and personally I don't like that program have a look at some of these and try another they are all free and I would look at Bitdefender, Avast, and Avira at least but there are plenty.

    Probably the Best Free Security List in the World > section 2 has the real time stuff.



    In addition if you haven't got them already you would do worse than keep these as permanent add ons to the security you pick.

    A possible reason for this problem is that you have conflicting security software installed fully or partially on the PC. Remove all other security software from the PC.
    You may need to use a cleanup tool to remove your prior security software.

    I've already used ccleaner and regcure pro but i still get the error.

    1. Please download http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 and save it to your desktop.
    2. Double click the icon on your desktop.
    3. Push
    4. Push
    5. Go to Start -> Run and type in "Notepad"
    6. Go to Edit -> Paste in notepad.
    7. x out all of the numbers and letters in the line beginning with "Windows Product Key:"
    8. Copy and paste that log here.
