.exe programs appearing, antivirus & disk defrag unresponsive

Hi,

I think I may have a worm in my hard drive as .exe programs keep appearing in my drive - zozoz/jejej/mimim/roror etc. I am also unable to successfully download any scan software for McAfee. Originally had norton 360 and it became unresponsive - not opening. Disk Defrag is also refusing to run.

What should I do? wipe my hard drive and re-install the operating system? Windows 7 64 bit (2009) is what I am currently running.

Cheers

I recently updated Vipre Antivirus to Vipre Internet Security 2012; I did so today, in fact. I had been using ReadyBoost to speed up my video editing software earlier today. Windows Disk Defrag Doesn't Defrag
Disk defrag stops analyzing at 62% and doesn't go any further. So I downloaded Defraggler and ran it. It worked but it wouldn't defrag down to 0% fragmentation, It still shows 4% after defrag.
