My office is upgrading all user PC's from XP to Windows 7. We review event logs (Application, Security and System) each week for all machines.
Currently, there is a script running on the XP machines that automatically clears and saves the log files to an appropriate folder on the server. However, when we created a new task to have the Windows 7 machines run the script, we were only able to get the Application log files to save and clear. All of the files in the script have been updated to evtx file types, but the Security and System are not working.
Does anyone have any idea if the file names change for security and system in Windows 7,or does anyone have any idea what could be holding these 2 logs up?
