I got caught in that false positive a while back and if I remember correctly the problem was take care of in a very short time.
Malwarebytes is not perfect but it doesn't take long to get things fixed.
I was also hit by that "Bad DB update" on one of my systems that caused problems.
MBAM did acknowledge and fix it quickly (imho), less than 1 hour as I remember.

I think that last FP Bad DB Update caused so many problems, they put new procedures in place to prevent further problems like that.

I haven't seen a "Bad DB Update" like that one, since then ...

IMHO, something like this can happen with ANY AV or AM update.

It made me re-think, to back off my scheduled checks for the latest definitions so often ...
If I check every two hours instead of every hour, I have less chance of getting a bad update, that is corrected within the hour ...

Now I'm thinking of getting out of realtime updates and going to the two hours , Mbam is running fine but any tips I will gladly take.

If you wish to run a full scan 10 times a day please be my guest. No one is saying you cannot run one if you want to. I said I find that for myself it's not needed.

Are there issues with the latest version - yes. Are we working on them - Yes. Did you participate in the Beta and voice your opinions then before release - No.

Our forum has probably just a tad more information and support available than here and where I would recommend you actually seek support, but that's up to you as well.

I'm not here to argue either. If you want help come get help - we're certainly willing to help.

    Thank you.
I am sorry, but I completely disagree with you and find what you say a little concerning for a Malwarebytes - Forum Community Manager.

Maybe if you would have tested your software for more then 5 minutes before releasing it, we wouldn't have all these issues in the first place. Its inexcusable. I found 6 bugs in my first 10 minutes of using the software. I am Not exaggerating here.

Your starting to become like avast. Caring more about the money-and not focusing on quality control.

I have sent multiple emails to support explaining the bugs and how to reproduce them. Know what happens? They just tell me to uninstall using their removal tool and reinstall it. Which has been done many times, and VM's were used that reproduced the issues on xp, vista, seven and eight. So you cannot possibly tell me this software was tested at all, when I have clean installations across the board and still have the same issues.

False positives happen to the best companies, but this shouldn't.

PS: Oh and I am sorry I didn't participate in the beta test, I didn't realize this was the new baseline of only testing software. My mistake.

I do not mean any of this as an attack, but I am honest with my opinion here.

Poor attitude for a "Malwarebytes - Forum Community Manager " We have been testing the final product for a couple of weeks, maybe longer, with no solutions yet. Apparently Beta testing didn't work?

No poor attitude at all. There are a few posters here that simply have a mindset that no matter what is said or done will not please them so there is no use in trying. As they say "haters are gonna hate" and you can't change that.

If and when you really want help I'm over on our site and willing to help. If you simply want to continue to complain and not actually ask for real help that's up to you as well. I can only provide advise on where to get help because you're not going to get help like that here due to the restrictions of this site preventing us from helping you at that level.
