Update on my posting.

Problem solved,I had to disable ''Self protection module'' in advanced settings in Malware Bytes. After Avast was up and running I enabled the settings in Malware.
Now all went well with Avast.
Now shall I run the free version or would it be advisable to buy the pro version??

Many Thanks.

Windows 7 Home Premium

I've been running the Avast Free version for years, on more than one PC!

It is a personal preference, and, of course, your choice.

Like anything else, some people like it, others do not.
