So No you will not have EPM,
Only 64 bit system have that option,

I would suggest reviewing your thread,
Everything has been covered/ windows update has been released to fix the decade old issue and nobody got infected with the dooms day over exaggerated articles had suggested even Homeland security has pie on their face

It boils down to which is better for what purpose. And for guiding users properly.

Both AV's and anti-malware products(at least the only one I know---MBAM) are anti-viral and anti-malware. I think it is right but incorrect to call AV' s AV, (right since they are the best in virus coverage) but (incorrect because it implies anti-virus is all they do); and MBAM an anti-malware (right since it is the best in non-viral malware coverage) but (incorrect because it implies non-viral malware coverage is all it does).

I never said I rely on MBAM as an AV app. I employ both concurrently: MSE for being superior to MBAM in virus coverage and on-demand MBAM(free version) for its superiority over MSE in non-viral malware coverage and for it's lack of real time protection (I am guessing, but I think two real time protections working at the same time can be conflicted and counter-productive).

So you may call them the way most do...and be more right than correct. Or be both right and correct if you use them concurrently the way MBAM suggests.

Just a note that Microsoft Security Essentials is not a very extensive antivirus product and though it is free and low on resource usage you would certainly be better protected by one of the other free antivirus products (assuming cost is your concern) such as avast! or Avira.

MBAM mainly deals with in the wild and zero day threats. Once we no longer see evidence of ongoing threats in the wild we will often remove detection from our database as it should now be covered by your antivirus. Antivirus typically has a huge database that can detect and remove stuff from 10 years ago, we do not.
