I didn't get a chance to check yesterday, but I went on mediafire just now and the redirect is still happening.

I would recommend that you try installing adblock plus in Firefox and then checking mediafire for the redirection. I have found that some ads redirect the browser to catch the user's attention.

I decided to give it a shot, and I didn't get redirected while I had ABP installed (I uninstalled it afterwards since there are only a few websites I frequently visit and the ads on those sites don't bother me). I also did a quick Google search for updowntuv on my phone while I was out, and saw a couple of forum threads where users were having trouble with ads sending them to the same page that I get redirected to when visiting mediafire without an adblocker.

Sorry to bump this thread after so long, but I had a similar incident just now while visiting Comic Vine. Instead of redirecting, though, it opened a new tab at lpmxp2125.com.
