Disable windows firewall and notices

Hi guys,

I can disable windows firewall easily but I still get an annoying notification in the taskbar from that new notification icon thing, which tells me I should enable it.

Is there anyway to suppress this? In XP there was a tickbox in the security center that stopped all warnings that the firewall was turned off.

Thanks

It's in the Action Center now.

Are you talking about Action Center?

Or, right-click the icons in your taskbar, and hopefully, one of the menus will have a "Turn system icons on or off" item. You can disable Action Center this way as well.

That sounds like the right one, I'm on my laptop right now so couldn't remember the name of it. I will check it out later.

Thanks
