Win7 security and Java/Firefox issues
OK, I need a solution to this or its going to drive me crazy.
Everytime I open Firefox or open a new Firefox window, Win7 security and steps in with a User Control dialog box asking:
"Do you want the following program to make changes to this computer?
Java (TM) SE Runtime Environment 6 Update 16
Verified Publisher: Sun Microsystems
File Origin: Hard Drive on this computer"
Now when this was most recently a XP x64 computer I never got this. I just updated to Win7 Pro 64 bit and now this notice comes up all the time. The security level specified in Windows in the same for both OS's.
Now I also recently upgraded to Win7 (32 bit) from Vista on my laptop, and I don't have this problem/issue on it? I, so far, have not found any differences in the settings between the 2 computers. I even made sure I had the most recent Java version and certificate to ensure that wasn't causing the problem.
WHY is this happening? Why is it happening on the desktop (upgraded from XP 64) and not on the laptop (upgraded from Vista 32)?
This is a major annoyance. Can anyone help?
