Win7 security and Java/Firefox issues

OK, I need a solution to this or its going to drive me crazy.

Everytime I open Firefox or open a new Firefox window, Win7 security and steps in with a User Control dialog box asking:

"Do you want the following program to make changes to this computer?

Java (TM) SE Runtime Environment 6 Update 16
Verified Publisher: Sun Microsystems
File Origin: Hard Drive on this computer"

Now when this was most recently a XP x64 computer I never got this. I just updated to Win7 Pro 64 bit and now this notice comes up all the time. The security level specified in Windows in the same for both OS's.

Now I also recently upgraded to Win7 (32 bit) from Vista on my laptop, and I don't have this problem/issue on it? I, so far, have not found any differences in the settings between the 2 computers. I even made sure I had the most recent Java version and certificate to ensure that wasn't causing the problem.

WHY is this happening? Why is it happening on the desktop (upgraded from XP 64) and not on the laptop (upgraded from Vista 32)?

This is a major annoyance. Can anyone help?

You never got it, because Windows XP does not have UAC...

It looks like it is save to install Java, after the install you should not have any problems restarting firefox.
I am not an expert, but I installed Java many times, including updates, and never got any problems.

Have a nice day!

But, as I said, I never got it on my Vista laptop, and don't get it on that laptop after it was upgraded to Windows 7. Why does this happen on the Wndows 7 desktop upgraded from XP x64, and not on the Windows 7 laptop (upgraded fron Vista)? I don't believe it is any intent of anyone at MS, Sun ir Mozilla that this UAC pop-up interrogation occur every time you open a new Firefox page. Some unintended issue is causing this in particular Windows 7 installation. I really would like to find out what it is to get rid of this annoying behavior.

Hi. I've installed Java many time as well and never got this problem before. I don't believe it has anything to do with saving a Java install. But just to be sure, I'll re-install Java.

Are both x64? It appears the one on the desktop is x64 and the laptop is x86, correct? That may account for the difference in behavior from Java.
