Did you reboot after Old Timer?

    No? Reboot NOW

There will be two more scans as final checks, neither one runs extremely long, but it will take some time for each one.
I'll post the information after you post the ESET log.

Sorry, couldn't find this page before
    ESET Online Scanner FAQs
    ESET Online Scanner FAQs said:
How can I view the log file from ESET Online Scanner?

The ESET Online Scanner saves a log file after running, which can be examined or sent in to ESET for further analysis. The path to the log file is
    "C:\Program Files\ESET\EsetOnlineScanner\log.txt"
(on 64-bit systems this directory will be
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\ESET\Esetonlinescanner\log.txt").

You can view this file by navigating to the directory and double-clicking it in Windows Explorer, or by copying and pasting the path specification above (including the quotation marks) into the Start > Run dialog box from the Start Menu on the desktop.
Please attach the ESET log when it finishes - thanks.

Yeah I can do without it if you insist lol. It's not that bar though. I've had it for about a year or a bit longer. This all started several days ago when I was all over the net installing everything but what I was supposed to install. I, apparently, didn't watch the install close enough and let that Trovi in.

I'll have to scroll up to see about this Old Timer thing, I forgot. Tomorrow because it's getting late and frankly I'd love to just relax before bed. Play a mindless game. My head's been in a swirl for several days now over this bs (directly before this was all about the BSOD I was having). I did reboot. About 10 minutes ago when Windows insisted. smh ... Eset was scanning and I was almost 3 hours in and only 48% done. Then windows... reboots me. So po'd. I'll start the scan again and let it run overnight.

Thank you for all your time and help :) Tmr I'll pick up.

I just scanned with that old timer and rebooted. There isn't a log. Now I have to restart (AGAIN) Eset. When I woke up there weren't any traces that I set that scan up before bed.

Right, there is no Old Timer-TFC log

    and it's good to restart

You might want to set Windows Update to manual while ESET runs. That way you won't run the risk of WU wanting to restart.

    2:43 hrs in, 48% complete.

I went to set a time for automatic update. I did, but it's already installing 119 items.

Keep an eye on Windows Update (WU), when it gets down to a small number (say about 20) you can cancel WU.

If you cancel WU too early (lots of updates), your WU status will show all of the cancelled updates as fail, canceled. It doesn't hurt, but it looks messy and there's no way I know to clean up the status.

    3:35 in and still on 48% ...

Oh well damn .. I just checked. 115 (not 119) fails. I'll mess with it when eset is done.

Yeah, the thing is.... Windows Update (WU) seems to take priority, so if you're running WU it AND ESET, Windows Update wins and ESET slows to a crawl. Plus ESET has extra duty in checking the new files WU brings down - possibly files it already checked before WU updated them.

Don't try to do too much, let the scanner finish as fast as it can (doing anything else on the system makes the scanner work harder since it has to check any new files (ie temporary files form almost any application, config/stat changes from playing a game, Browser and Internet files... every pgm writes something))

You're really making that system work hard

Please change WU to manual or WU will start up again (on the time you specified)
