Tax payes UK Beware of this FRAUD (Not Politics !!)

Hi there

Not a Political post - we all hate paying Tax -- that's a given but this is a SCAM that people who see what purports to be an official looking document from a Govt dept often will take action that they wouldn't normally do with other emails such as clicking on Links.

Anybody who is liable to pay some UK Income tax there is a fraudalent email going around -- if you get one of these DO NOT OPEN ANY OF THE LINKS -- there's no such "Forms" alluded to in the email.

Forward the email to THE CITY OF LONDON POLICE whose Fraud division handles all this sort of stuff.

Note - NO AV system can prevent this sort of stuff -- which is why I always say whatever AV systems you have installed always USE THE COMPUTER SENSIBLY as well. These types of SCAMS are increasingly common.

Cheers

While I do not live in the UK these sort of similar scam emails exist in other countries too. They usually want you to give out your personal information or open an attachment. Always be careful if and when you receive an email similar to this one. Don't give out any personal information or open any attachments.

Exactly, most governmental sectors refrain from sending anything that is important as an email they will most of the time send a letter. Always be vigilant when it comes to emails, government and most banks do not send emails!
