This discussion could go on and on forever and we will never be on the same track regarding what's the best protection for our PC.

I'm using Nod32.AV.v4 with Malwarebytes 1.41 (Win7 support) and everything is working just fine, never had an significant infection, before i was using Norton.AV but i switched to Eset because all the people were talking about it and i'm very glad i did that.

So, the best AntiVirus is the one you have installed on your rig, not the one i have or the other one somebody has, simply the one that popups on your notification area when needed, that's your protection, also there's no need to deny other products just because you think you got the best !

and finally let me tell you this: You got Vipre, AVG, Norton, Iobit, etc..etc...here's a tip for you: get rid of it and use Eset, you will be shocked to see how a real AntiVirus works !

just my 2 cents, no need to quote me...i hope you will get my post's sarcasm...:P

Vipre has excellent detection rates but it will fail due to false positives. ...
This has also been my experience. WAY too many FP's.

I am about to switch 300 computers at work from Symantec to NOD32.
Can I ask what was reported as FP using Vipre? I have not had a single FP with it.

Also, you note that, then you say you are switching from Symantec? So are you using Vipre or Symantec?
I'll look and see if I kept a record of the FP's. I am currently using Symantec at work. I did a small pilot evaluation of Vipre which didn't last long.

Meh, you say that all the time and then try another AV product the next day...

    lol..he does doesn't he...

so dinesh, are you really sticking with eset?
Guys I m serious. I m tired of switching AV's. ESET is my final choice.
Glad you have finally decided, but I thought you liked testing just for fun anyway?

I still have my ESET license, but Vipre is my choice and I'm sticking with that unless something changes drastically.
