Hello Aimee,
We just had this similar situation happen yesterday in another thread.

There are a lot of really good helpful members here at Sf to assist you. Just ask Questions.
Sorry about your other family problems. God Bless.
Hi Everyone,
Thanks again. I am not at the hospital at the moment. I had a couple hours in the wee morning to have done everything short of the Windows reinstall and found nothing except a something related to something called pup.optional.spigot.A and a conduit toolbar, which I suspect were both pre-existing and unrelated to this incident. I didn't find anything related to TeamViewer, Ammyy, or ShowMyPC. Is it possible that any of these could still be in a stealth mode that I cannot detect as a layman?
I noticed from a similar post in July 2014 titled infosis.net- should I be comcernedthat I ran it? where Jacee suggested running some detection for keyloggers and other things using some different analyzing tools.
Should I do that as well (find someone to help me do that)? I'm really concerned about any possible financial account vulnerability.
Aimee
Just want to clarify that the other post and thread I am referring to, from July 2014, was from another member's experience (phoenixmark) and since his thread also involved the infosis.net web site, I reviewed it and noticed the recommendations from Jacee, who is clearly an expert.
The July 2014 similar thread by phoenixmark is titled infosis.net- should I be comcernedthat I ran it?
However, I don't have the technical expertise to be able to follow all of the recommendations/steps that were posted to phoenixmark's problem by Jacee on my own. That's where I' looking for help.
I would highly suggest not doing things from other threads.
Those recommendation were made for that computer at that time for that problem.
They may or may not be best for your problem on your computer at this time.
What security scans have you done?
What did those scans find?
Did you remove what those scans found?
Do you need more help cleaning your computer and securing it?
I'm no security expert but that is the kind of information our security people will need.
Hi Aimee,
I see the thread you are talking about here,
infosis.net- should I be comcernedthat I ran it?
Let's let Jacee guide you through the next steps, I'll leave her a message to come and help you out.
Hold off till she get's here to guide you.
About not finding those programs, I know the Ammyy program claims it doesn't need to be installed to run, you may want to check your downloads folder as well as the desktop to see if any of those are located there while you wait for Jacee.
Hi 4normans,
Download DDS from one of these links:
DDS.com
DDS.pif
- Disable any script blocking protection
- Double click the dds icon to run the tool.
- When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
- DDS.txt
- Attach.txt <--- will be minimized in the task tray
- Save both reports to your desktop.
Include the contents of both logs in your next post.
The scan will instruct you to post Attach.txt as an attachment. You can 'attach both logs' or copy/paste both logs.
