Another telephone scam to be aware of!

I received two phone calls today with a woman's voice telling me that "Your computer is causing problems" ... "please press #1 for Microsoft Technical Advice".

MS will not call anyone, unless you call them first for help.

Scam!

Scam!
I've had 4-5 of these calls over the past 2 years.
A mans voice with a heavy accent.
It's actually hard to believe that people actually fall for this.
How the heck would anyone know that people...give your head a shake.
I'm having problems right now.
Maybe they could give me a call and fix it my problem. lol

It is quite sad really,

the people who have common sense to know not to give there credit card number or ss number to a random person, is the same person that buys the "your pc is infected" story over the phone.

Does not make sense to me. But unfortunately it happens.

There is always someone out there, and always will be.

Telephone LED Displays
I doubt that there is anything that I can do, short of returning the phones to GE for repair, but since I'm not likely to do that, I shall ask here. A couple weeks ago, I allowed my apartment to get particularly cold one night, and when I awoke, I found that both of the LED displays of the...
