For added bonus fun, see how long you can keep them on the phone, giving false info & acting PC illiterate, before they get frustrated & hang up
They call me twice a week. If I have time I play along to waste theirs.

My best record so far is about 20 minutes with three different people (original "technician" and two "supervisors").
The last "supervisor" finally gave up and said "Why are you wasting my time?" then hung up.

    Regards,
    GEWB
Next time... tell them that they called you and ask them "why" did they call you to waste your time?

    Oh dear!
You must have been hacked just liked me. I was hacked by hackers via malware downloaded via some java online radio stations which downloaded malicious malware to my system. Then I started receiving calls from India. The same guy is using social engineering to trick you my dear!

I haven't received a M$ scam/spam call in a long time now. The ones I wish I could stop are the ones from the miserable, misbegotten survey takers, politicians, and charities (I suspect most, if not all, of the latter are phony anyway). With the upcoming elections, I'm just about ready to shut off the ringers and answering machine on my phones. I had to do that for that for three months during last general election period because I was getting several political calls a day, sometimes as many as a dozen. I'm not far from ripping out my landline and going completely off the grid.
