    Malwarebytes failing to run randomly.

I run Malwarebytes as my anti-virus software. Recently, it has been randomly turning off without a warning from windows. I can get it working again if I fresh install it and it works for a while but again randomly disappears from my system tray. When I try to re open it with the icon or through any other method, it fails to run. It gives me the loading mouse and then nothing happens. I checked Windows Event Viewer and there is a error related to Malwarebytes. The details of the error are as follows:

Faulting application name: mbam.exe, version: 1.0.0.532, time stamp: 0x53518532
Faulting module name: MSVCR100.dll, version: 10.0.40219.325, time stamp: 0x4df2be1e
    Exception code: 0x40000015
    Fault offset: 0x0008d6fd
    Faulting process id: 0x8b4
    Faulting application start time: 0x01cfdf94b5cbd1c5
    Faulting application path: E:\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\mbam.exe
    Faulting module path: E:\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\MSVCR100.dll
    Report Id: f39ce4c7-4b87-11e4-bf6e-40167e2306ad

I've run full system scans while Malwarebytes is working and I haven't found any viruses or other infections at all.

Just an FYI that MBAM is not an antivirus and you should be running a full fledged antivirus alongside of MBAM.

Can you try uninstalling your current version and then install the latest beta and try to scan with it.

Well I agree I was just thinking maybe the MBAM got fouled up with something when the OP first installed it.

So if you Cragg want to install one and if you need a free one mate look through these
Probably the Best Free Security List in the World - Part I < go to page 2 there are tons I have tested a lot of thee and Bitdefender, Avira, Avast are in my mind good I am not a fan of AVG, Trend, or Norton (if you are going for a paid for)

Personally I run Kaspersky ISS 2015 and it costs me $0.13 a day and it has an excellent safe money feature. I also run the paid for MBAM too real time but the choice is yours
