Windows 7 Black screen virus

Hi guys. I have a serious problem. I think I have a virus on my computer. I restarted my laptop from an antivirus software (Norton) prompt, after a scan, and it never booted up. After the "Starting Windows" screen, I end up on a black screen with my cursor at the center, "windows 7 home premium" written at the bottom of the screen and the shutdown button at the bottom right corner. I tried booting up in safe mode, I still got hooked on the same black screen. I then removed my laptop hdd, in order to recover my files (in case my laptop will have to be formatted) and plugged it into another laptop using a hdd external case. Only to my surprise my hdd read "277gb free of 277gb" I searched through the hdd and found out that all my files and folders were deleted. My documents, pictures, videos, downloads and desktop folder were all empty! Also the name of my user is "Laban", but I didn't see that user inside the "Users" folders, I only saw "Administrator" "Default" and "Public".
I also tried to scan my hdd using Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. It didn't work. I did not see my drive letter when I tried to carry out a custom scan. But I was able to see the drive when I opened "computer".
Please I don't even care that my laptop won't boot. I care more about the files that I've lost. PLEASE. Tell me how I can recover my files? I'm up for anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Please see this tutorial. Lots of options here:

Emergency Kit - save your files from a dead OS

OR

Copy & Paste - in Windows Recovery Console

I suggest you do a clean install then. Follow the tutorial below and read everything completely:

Hi. Thanks. I saw checked out the links you gave me. Now, the problem is. I don't have a recovery disk. My laptop didn't come with one. It only has a partition on the hdd called "recovery" which I don't know how to use. Another problem is that in the first link, the one with the guy who uses mint mate, he has his user foldet called "whs". I don't have my own user folder. It's like it got deleted.

If you read the tutorial, you would know that the clean install gives you links to download the official windows 7 disk if you do not have one. You must have a user folder, unless you deleted it. And you cannot do that while being logged onto the account. The username folder would be whatever you made it when you first signed into windows.

I am sure I didn't delete the user folder which is "Laban". It just disappeared. Maybe that's why my hdd says "277gb free of 277gb " would a data recovery software do the trick of getting my files back? Or anything?

Thats impossible, if the hdd said that there would be no data on it.

Or are you saying that all of the data IS gone?

Do you know what virus norton detected?

Do you not have a backup of your data?

That's what I'm saying. I think all of the data IS gone. I don't know what Norton detected. I don't have a backup . You won't believe it but I was supposed to make a backup the day it crashed.

You are going to have to try something like the following software then, or get paid professional recovery assistance.

Free File Recovery Software - Power Data Recovery is an all-in-one free data recovery software that could help you to recover your lost data from hard disk, CD, DVD disk, memory stick, memory card, and flash drive.

File Recovery Software | Seagate

IF the data is valuable, seek professional recovery services. None of this is going to be cheap though...
