    Windows 8 scan and defrag

Hey guys, it's me again. I'm having a small problem again. So about a few hours ago, I was scanning my computer with AVG and since my computer was running slow, I decided to defrag my comouter since it needed a lot of files moved around.

So I basically defragged my whole entire computer and it got done with in like 3 minutes. I was like "What, shouldn't it have taken at least 4 hours to defrag?" So I proceeded to use my computer and I found out that it was running pretty fast now since it was done defragging. I should also add that at the end of the defrag, it asked me if I wanted to restart the computer now or later for it to complete the defrag. So I chose later.

I went out to eat right after that and turned off my computer.

I come back home and when I start it up, it says "Scanning and repairing drive (C:): ___ % complete"

So I popped in a boot CD and I went and delete the AVG folder because I thought that would solve the answer because at first, I thought it would just load up Windows and then continue from therenwhen you logged into a user. Like how most typical software does. But when I went back to the black Windows loading screen, I keep seeing the message and it won't go away until I finish the actual entire scan.

I want to bypass this because I have someone waiting for me to get back and trade them on a game.

I've tried F8. Windows have removed this interally which is the most dumbest idea ever. In these type of situations, I would just F8 and then select "Use last known good configuration" which woukd bypass this. But I don't know how to enable that.

It's stuck at 27% and I'm probably going to get reported and my account banned if I don't get back to them and trade back their stuff.

Go into Task Manager and stop the process.

I can't. Didn't I say that I turned off my computer and now it's showing me that message? :/ never mind. I'll just back up everything and hard reset since nothing seems to work.
