    tracking cyber idiots through chats?

There's some idiot hitting on me through a fake facebook profile through messages. She says, she likes me, wants to meet me. I"m sure it's a guy playing a prank. I want to track him [i.e. geographically ]through the messages he sent. Is there any way?

Your only real options here are to contact the site that is involved here, they may be able to track the sender, though this may be a non option with some providers, If the nature of the Cyber-stalking becomes a real issue then you would have to involve Law Enforcement

Depending on the circumstances law enforcement my be able to do this. The chances of doing this yourself are almost zero.

Barman58 has outlined your only options.
