Credential Manager Error Message doesn't make sence

Supposedly you can use Credential Manager to store user name and passwords that you use to log into websites. When I
    1. clicked on Start, Control Panel, User Accounts, Manage your credentials, Add a Windows Credential
    2. a pop-up window appeared with lines for Network address, User Name, Password.
    3. I pasted the web address for the New York Academy of Sciences login page
    4. I typed in my User Name and Password

I was told "Make sure your information is correct." I immediately went to this URL and successfully loged in. https://www.nyas.org/login.aspx?Retu...%2fcareers.asp

I don't understand why my imput into Credential Manager is being rejected.

    Hi KCav,

I am sorry for the delay. Nobody is intentionally overlooked here. Sometimes it just takes a bit longer for a member to come that has experience with any given situation that needs attention. I do not use the Credentials Manager myself, though maybe can I help in some way.

It sounds like your credentials are being questioned, not rejected since you are able to click forward and log into the site successfully. Does this happen to other sites whose credentials you have saved in your Credential Manager?

You might try removing those credentials and starting over to see if that prevents your credentials from being questioned?

Here's a link that might help, if needed:

Store passwords, certificates, and other credentials for automatic logon
