    Security Settings

Current security settings will not let me download or print documents like insurance cards or applications. Can someone point me in right direction to change these settings?

Can you right click and 'Run as Administrator' to download to your Documents?

No. The documents will not even load up. That Security Alert box pops up.

It's probably a security setting in Internet Explorer. Try going to Internet Options and click the button "Reset all zones to default level" in the Security tab.

Unless you've changed the security settings on purpose of course like I have. If I try to download a file from a site I have not added as a Trusted site I get the exact same message:

I felt pretty sure that would solve it but I added the word "probably" just in case. You never know with computers

    Glad I could help!

    This happened to me, exactly.

I struggled for months. Sometimes one thing would work, sometimes something else wouldn't work.

I tried every repair on the web.
    I unloaded my Commodo anti-virus,
    I dropped my firewall
still blocked attachments in my hotmail

this happened after a windows update, and led to a "powershell stopped working" error too.

microsoft website has a fix for "powershell not working" but I could not understand the repair / remedy.

    Last resort, I downloaded Malewarebytes.
    Fixed EVERYTHING in 15 minutes.
