Yes, as Jacee pointed out, anytime you make a back up if there happened to be a virus/malware on it, it will return when you use that image.

ok but if I scan the back up nothing comes up but it must be on there ? .... unless I picked up after I suppose I could try reloading but had loads to do after too so don't want to just yet

in fact I cant get any security / malware products to find the infection (I said before here malwarebytes quarantined it not so sure now maybe it was something ells) all I know its still there in the program list and wont delete nothing happens, although if u try to delete thought CC Cleaner the parent folder is present and deleting this folder it says it cant delete/continue because source file cant be found, the other file has know effect as in program list, read somewhere to reinstall it to delete is this extreme ? seen as I don't know how I got too, don't really want to update again trying to get a clean system to save Grrrr, also I downloaded I0bit uninstaller didn't uninstall (but did uninstall malware 360) also spybot found some other none threating stuff,

now the only thing I found that says its found the Muvic smartbar engine virus whatever is Spyhunter 4 but it also found loads of bad things too which set alarm bells ringing a bit of googling later things weren't looking good for spyhunter 4 most said don't go there and rest raved about it too much lol

C:\users\user\appdata\Local\smartbar\ <--- this is the installation folder.
The setup package generally installs about 396 files and is usually about 14.79 MB (15,507,456 bytes). The installed file liveupdater_agent.exe is the auto-update component of the program which is designed to check for software updates and notify and apply them when new versions are discovered.

Uninstall Spyhunter 4

Now, let's see what herdProtect finds: Download herdProtect - Free Anti-Malware Platform

It would be a good idea to stay away from anything made by IObit. They have been flagged in the past for installing various PUP's & unethical practices.
Quote:
Well, IObit’s clever tactics of bundling one or more of their free software offerings within other similar freeware products is considered to be potentially unwanted. An example of this is: Advanced System Care will install IObit Uninstaller, while IObit Driver Booster may offer to install IObit Malware Fighter.

Plus, do you know if IObit’s privacy policy is one that you want to comply with? IObit has been accused in the past of using shady software development methods. Please be cautious when installing related IObit applications. Consider this: if an application that you may never use is unknowingly installed along with another application, why do you need it on your PC? IObit is also notorious for pushing their paid products by using “in program ad’s” (Activate Now) and questionable promotional and marketing tactics.

Search Engine ?
Hello, Is there a free, or inexpensive, search engine that will search the text in the documents in all my files, and not just by file name ? In other words, literally searching every text word on PC, wherever it might be, looking for a match. Thanks, Bob
