ICITLOL Kapersky 2016 is compatible with windows 10 (see below) but still has a few minor issues and the other day I downloaded KIS 2015 version 15.0.2.361abcen_8100 which installed and works fine on Win 10 Build 10240 but that link has been replaced with the 2016 version found in my original post.

Ok that's good but it hasn't been released - I just checked - here yet I just tried putting 15 back on the machine with 10 that is running properly but the Kaspersky mob out here like I said lag behind a fair bit and from past experience is sometimes very buggy.

Yep I know about that one mate a few years ago I rebuilt a machine here in Oz for my brother in the UK and installed KISS on it out here to make sure he could get up and running straight away. Thing we didn't know was the Oz version wouldn't run in the UK and the Kaspersky Lab folks out here seem to have a set of rules all of their own wehen putting out new versions -which by the way are usually pretty buggy and buggier each new version .

So he had to buy it in the UK and then use it but mate thanks for looking round cos I have three keycards each with 3PC's and 2 year coverage that I picked up for a song at a reputable dealer so I am set probably now for the next 8 years at least

So I will just have to wait for Kaspersky Labs here in Oz to get "our" version out. If you can work that one out then please let me know because I don'tknow about you but a two foot wide x 6 inch deep pothole in the road is pretty well that all over the world - unless I am living on another planet - which is a possibility LOL!!

Having raved on about all that I have the current version (15 (c) ) on a stick that will do for the time being because this new machine came with MucAfee.

ICITLOL sorry about posting the wrong version mate when I replied your were offline which means the country flag was not visible and I thought you may be from the UK.

PS: If I see a link to the AU version I will post it here in the thread. I usually browse the Kaspersky forums for new versions by clicking on the support link in KIS.

Sorry late reply - I have been onto Kaspersky in Melbourne (where I am right now) and they have told me it will be in a about a months time our version will be ready.
Why there is such a difference in different countries (and time zones for all I know) is really quite odd.
Haven't heard of the other companies having proble,s like this eh?

KL has always throttled the release of major new versions, starting in one part of the globe and gradually releasing on other continents.
Over the years, I've noticed that it doesn't seem to be the same pattern each time.
Some years, the US/Canada is "first" and other years, it is "last"; same for other countries and continents.

The reasons are obvious (aside from server load) -- despite reasonably robust beta-testing, they monitor the new build in the wild for issues, so that hotfixes/patches can be issued, as needed.

One can always download current builds from the GLOBAL WEBSITE, if you don't want to wait for the official release in your locale.

The only major downside to doing so is that -- if you run into problems -- your only source of support will be the KL forums, as your local tech support folks won't provide official support until it is released in your area.

    Cheers,
